BITSILLIN-1 (Bicillinum-1).

     N, N-Dibenziletilendiaminovaya salt of benzylpenicillin.

     Synonyms : Benzacillin, Benzatini, Benzethacil, Benzylpenicillin-Benzatine, Benzylpenicillinum, Diaminpenicillin, Dibencil, Duapen, Duropenin, Extencillin, Moldamin, Penadur, Tardocillin and others.

     White powder, which formed when adding water resistant suspension. Almost nerastvorim in water, very little of alcohol.

     Bitsillin-1 is the product of prolonged action. In intramuscular introduction of suspension, is slowly absorbed and for a long time coming in the blood.

     Applied with infectious diseases caused by infection, sensitive to penicillin (streptococci, pnevmokokki, staphylococci, etc.).

     Especially shows use bitsillina-1 if necessary to establish long-term therapeutic concentration of penicillin in the blood. Also shown is for the prevention and treatment of rheumatic fever and syphilis treatment (see also Bitsillin-5).

     Diluted impose only intramuscularly. Intravenous endolyumbalnoe introduction and is not allowed.

     Suspension bitsillina-1 are filled immediately before use : in a bottle with bitsillinom impose 2 - 3 ml of sterile water for injection or isotonic sodium chloride solution, the mixture until evenly mixed mist, which are deep in the upper outer quadrant of the buttocks.

     Enter adults on 600000 or 300000 ED 1 week or 1200000 ED 1 every 2 weeks.

     Children are an estimated 5,000 - 10,000 ED 1 1 kg of body weight at least once a week at a cost of 20,000 ED 1 1 kg every 2 weeks. More frequent injections are not allowed.

     When treating rheumatism dose bitsillina-1 for adults can be increased to 2.4 million ED 2 times a month. To prevent a recurrence of rheumatism designate bitsillin-1 (or bitsillin-5) 600000 ED intramuscularly for 1 day a week for 6 weeks, combined with the admission of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroid anti-drugs.

     For the treatment of syphilis, bitsillin-1 apply for special instructions.

     After injection into (and other prolonged preparations penicillin) possible pain at the injection.

     Contraindications and precautions are the same as for benzylpenicillin sodium salt.

     Product : in vials on 300000; 600,000; 1200000 and 2400000 ED per benzylpenicillin.
