Deprenil (deprenyl)
DEPRENIL (Deprenyl).
L - (-), N - (1-fenilizopropil) -N- metil-N-2- propinilamin.
Synonyms : Selegilin, Yumeks, Selegiline, Eldepryl, Jumex, Tumex.
By chemically similar to ephedrine (see) and other simpatomimeticheskim amines, but action was unusual in that a specific inhibitor monoaminoksidazy (MAO) type B. The other MAO inhibitors, unlike deprenila operate MAO-type or have a mixed impact (on MAO A and type B).
