FAMTSIKLOVIR (Famciclovir).

     2-[2 - (2-Amino-9 H purin-9- mud) ethyl] -1,3 - propandiola diacetate.

     Synonym: Famvir, Famvir.

     The white or pale yellow powder. Well soluble in acetone and methanol, ethanol and bad in curing.

     In the body metabolized to form active antiviral substances pentsiklovir (see).

     Active against viruses and simply herpes zoster, and tsitomegalovirusov.

     Apply with herpes and genital herpes, postgerpeticheskih neuralgia.

     Assign into adults with herpes for denying 0.25 g 3 times a day (1 g or 0.75 times a day) for 7 days, with genital herpes in the same dose over 5 days, with haemorrhagic genital herpes - on 0.25 g 2 times a day (patients with HIV infection to 0.5 g 2 times a day); when postgerpeticheskoy neuralgia and for violations of the immune system - to 0.5 g three times a day for 7 days.

     In a possible drug headache, nausea, allergic reactions. Not recommended appointment of pregnancy.

     Form release: pills to 0,125 grams (N. 10) and 0.25 g (N. 20).
