FERRUM LEK (Ferrum Lek) *.

     Synonym: Ferric (III) hydroxide polimaltozny complex Ferric (III) complex -hydroxide polymaltose

     Preparation of iron for intramuscular and intravenous injections.

     The preparation for intramuscular injection contains one ampoule (2 ml), 0.1 g trehosnovnogo iron in a range of maltose; Preparation for intravenous injection contains one ampoule (5 ml), 0.1 grams of iron saharata.

     Indications and contraindications to the use of the same as for ferkovena.

     Calculation needs drug on the basis of the definition of iron deficiency and its reserves in the body (see Ferkoven).

     Intramuscularly enter through the day. The maximum daily intake for adults 4 ml (2 ampoule), for children weighing up to 5 kg, 0.5 ml (1 / 4 ampoule), 5 - 10 kg-1 ml (1 / 2 ampoule).

     Adults usually enter intravenously in 1 Day 2, 5 ml (1 / 2 ampoule), the 2-day-5 ml (1 vials), in the first West-10 ml (2 ampoule), then two times a week 2 ampoule (10 ml).

     Intravenous drug must write slowly (no more than 1 ml / min). Content ampoule razvodyat isotonic sodium chloride solution and 10 ml. It should not be allowed into solution in subcutaneous fat skin.

     Do not use intravenous drugs for intramuscular injection.
