Gadodiamid (gadodiamide)
GADODIAMID (Gadodiamide).
[N, N-bis [2-[(karboksimetil) [(metilkarbamoil) ethyl] amino] ethyl] glitsinato (3)] gadolinium.
Synonym : Omniskan, Omniscan.
On chemical structure and the principle of close to magnevistu (gadopentamu dimeglyumina).
Applied to enhance contrast in magnetic resonance imaging the brain and spinal cord.
Enter struyno intravenously once shortly before the study. Normal 0.1 mmol dose (0.2 ml) for 1 kg of body weight. Maximum contrast, there is about a 45 min after injection.
Possible side effects : diarrhoeal phenomenon ataxy, tremor, apnoea reaction parestezii, visual, noise in the head, acute renal failure, arthralgia, mialgiya, allergic reactions.
Contraindications : expressed violations kidney functions, pregnancy, breast-feeding.
Product : solution (0.5 mmol / ml) for injection in vials of 5, 10, 15, 20, 40 and 50 ml.
Storage : List B. In the dark spot.
Close to magnevistu gadodiaminu and on the structure and application are also some other (new) gadolinievye drugs : dotarem (Dotarem) gadoteridol (Gadoteridol), etc.
Dotarem (gadoterat meglyumin) appears as the solution for injection in 5 ml ampoules, in vials of 10, 15 and 20 ml and 15 syringes and 20 ml.
