GLIFORMIN (Gliformin).
N, N-Dimetilbiguanidyu
Synonyms : Glyukofag, Diformin, Metformin, Diaberit, Diabetosan, Diabexyl, Diagnoguanil, Diformin, Diguanil, Gliguanid, Glucophage, Glukofag, Glycoran, Melbin, Mellitin, Metforminum, Metiguanide, Metolmin, Modulan and others.
The white crystalline powder, readily soluble in water.
Indications for use are the same as for glibutida. Assign inside during or immediately after eating from 0,25 - 0,5 g (1-2 tablets) morning. Further dose gradually increased to 0.5 - 0.75 g 2 - 3 times a day. For maintenance treatment is usually appointed by 0,25 - 0,5 g 2-3 times a day.
Possible side effects : metallic taste in his mouth, sometimes zheludochno-intestinal disorders, allergic skin reactions. With long-term use may breach in the gut intake of vitamin B.
The danger of molochnokislogo disorders less likely than in the application fenformina because unlike last metformin is not metabolised in the body and an unchanged in the urine.
Indications are the same as for glibutida.
