PIRIDOSTIGMINA BROMID (Pyridostigmini bromidum) 3-(Dimetilkarbamoiloksi) -1 - piridiny methyl bromide.

     Synonyms : Kalimin,, Mestinon, Kalymin, Mestinon.

     Antiholinesteraznoe means (reversible action). On chemical structure and action close to prozerinu. Also a quarternary ammonium base and soderit N dimetilkarbamoilnuyu group connected air links with the kernel.

     Compared with prozerinom somewhat less active and apply boleevysokih doses, but over prolonged periods.

     Applied in infants, motor violations after injuries, paralyses, the reconstruction period after the forward polio, encephalitis etc.

     Assign an adult on the inside of 0.06 g (1 Bean) 1 to 3 times a day, reduce the dose to children under age.

     Under the skin or intramuscularly introduce adults to 0.4 to 1 ml of 0.5% solution (2 - 5 mg). Dose choose individually depending on the severity of the disease and endurance.

     Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as when applying prozerina.

     Method of production : tablets or pills of 0.06 g; 0.5% solution of 1 ml ampoules.
