Ribamidil (ribamidil)
RIBAMIDIL (Ribamidil). 1-b -D- Ribofuranozil-1 H-1, 2, 4-triazol-3- karboksamid.
Synonyms : Virazol, Ribavirin, Ribavirin, Tribavirin, Viramid, Viratek, Viratel, Virazide, Virazole, Virustaz.
The white with a yellowish sheen crystalline powder. The easily soluble in water, dry in alcohol.
Ribamidil like edition, is a synthetic nukleozidom with antivirus activity. Ingibiruet synthesis of viral RNA and DNA.
Passing through the cell membrane, ribamidil metabolised, becoming mono-and trifosfat. Ribamidil-5- monofosfat a competitive inhibitor inozinmonofosfata Dehydrogenase, leading to brake synthesis of viral RNA and DNA, is not acting on the host cells.
Ribamidil provides antivirus application with influenza type A and B infections caused by herpes virus (herpes gingivostomatit, genital herpes, herpes zoster), as well as measles and chicken pox, hepatitis A and acute hepatitis B.
Is inside (after eating). Doses for adults to treat influenza to 0.2 g 3 - 4 times a day for 3 to 5 days. Treatment should begin as early signs of disease.
